Oni su polaganjem cvijeća na spomenike Ljuba Čupića i Joke Baletić, na gradskom groblju u Nikšiću, kao i kod spomenika strijeljanim rodoljubima pod Trebjesom, obilježili 9. maj, Dan pobjede nad fašizmom.

Centralna proslava ovogodišnjeg obilježavanja Dana pobjede nad fašizmom organizovana je kod spomenika na Vidrovanu.

“Na ovom spomeniku su ispisana imena poginulih boraca i žrtava fašističkog terora iz ovog kraja. Naše Mjesno udruženje iz Vidrovana se samoorganizovalo i prikupilo sredstva da se spomenik obnovi i restaurira i postavilo ogradu oko spomenika”, kazali su UBNOR i antifašisti Nikšića.

Predsjednik MU UBNORA Vidrovan i član Predsjedništva UBNORA Nikšić, Vojo Nikolić kazao je da UBNOR i antifašisti Nikšića i njegova mjesna udruženja u zadnjih nekoliko godina nemaju nikakvu materijalnu podršku u očuvanju, renoviranju i restauraciji spomen-obilježja od nadležnih institucija kulture ni od lokalne uprave.

“Kako zub vremena čini svoje prinuđeni smo da se samoorganizujemo i sačuvamo naša spomen-obilježja sa kojima se ponosimo. U zadnje vrijeme popravili smo su i renovirali spomen obilježja na Crnom Kuku i spomenik Braći Radulović u Milojevićima a sada  i ovaj na Vidrovanu uz veliku i nesebičnu pomoć naših sugrađana koji neće dozvoliti da imena naših rodoljuba koji su dali svoje živote nikada ne  izblijede i prekrije ih zaborav”, kazao je Nikolić.

Milojica Dakić, koji je govorio ispred Saveza udruženja boraca NOR-a i antifašista Crne Gore, kazao je da je 9. maj edan od najznačajnijih datuma u istoriji XX vijeka jer je toga dana pobijeđen fašizam. Podsjetio je da jeu Drugom svjetskom ratu stradalo više od 73 miliona stanovnika, kao i da je svaki deseti stanovnik Crne Gore, ili više od 42 hijade građana, izgubio život u borbi.

„Crna Gora je dala ogroman doprinos u borbi za oslobođenje zemlje, do konačne pobjede. Crnogorske brigade predstavljale su najveću snagu narodnooslobodilačke vojske Jugoslavije. Komandni kadar u jugoslovenskim partizanskim jedinicama pretežno je bio iz Crne Gore. U vojnoj, partijskoj, i kasnije političkoj strukturi, Jugoslovenske armije i države, dominirali su kadrovi iz Crne Gore“, istakao je Dakić.

Ljubo Vujadinović, koji je bio član Odbora za popravku spomenika na Vidrovanu, podsjetio je da je taj spomenik otkriven prije 50 godina, a da je autor spomenika „koji čuva odzaborava legendarne borce koji hrabrošču smrt pobijediše“, Ljubo Vojvodić.

Podsjetio je da su u Drugom svjetskom ratu iz Gornjeg Polja i okolnih sela poginula 144 borca i 227 žrtava fašističkog terora, kao i da su tri borca, Aleksa Maksimović, Veljko Todorović i Vojo Nikolić, proglašeni za narodne heroje.
